About e-libraryAbout electronic libraryAs a humanitarian action for helping the scientists, specialists, students and other users, WOSCO created a freely-accessible scientific electronic library. The WOSCO electronic library gives access to scientific books, text-books, articles, abstracts and other materials to the registered members of WOSCO. The electronic library is supplemented every day with new editions, donated by authors, publishing houses, scientific and educational organizations, libraries and foundations. Supporting authors and publishersWOSCO supports authors and publishers. Many talented scientists have to publish their monographs and books at their own expense. They don't receive the expected effect from these publications due to too little circulation, and as a result of that, a small audience and limited access to that publication for other scientists and specialists. To support the authors and publishing houses, WOSCO offers an opportunity of free placement of the electronic version of the publication in the WOSCO Electronic Library. The author or publishing house of a publication submits an application to the Scientific Editorial Council of WOSCO, which makes the decision about whether to place the material in the WOSCO Electronic Library. With free placement of a publication or manuscript in WOSCO SWB, member authors and editors will gain an audience of millions of readers. When an author’s publication is placed in the WOSCO Electronic Library, an international DOI (Digital Object Identifier) will be assigned to the manuscript. The WOSCO Publishing House can publish the manuscripts of authors in electronic format. In this case, an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) will be assigned to the manuscript in addition to the DOI. Publishing houses, with the agreement of WOSCO, may place the electronic versions of books and journals in the electronic library. All publications placed in electronic library of WOSCO will be given a WOSCO ID. Advertising and popularization of publications and manuscriptsAuthors and organizations may pay to use the informational resources of WOSCO SWB for the placement of advertisements and popularization of publications, editions and manuscripts. The order form and payment rates are in the Advertising section of the web site. |
